HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!! 2007!!! W00T!!!

Saturday, December 30, 2006

In other news, this loser is dead. Happy New Year to all!

-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Hmm... what else? and I hope I'll get my Strapya Lucky Bag 2007 soone
st! Marimo-san, a staff from Strapya, already emailed me to confirm that they sent the bag via AirMail last Dec 22nd! Sooo excited! By the looks of it though I'm thinking it'll get stuck in our city postal office for a few days since it's that time of year that people send letters and stuff. Target date is up to the second week of January. And if that won't happen, I'll go ballistic on their inefficient ass!

And I bought a new bottle of perfume! It's Lacoste Pour Femme and it smells soooo nice! ^_^ Y'all know I'm VERY sensitive about scents and stuff so I'm so happy to come across this one 'cause it smells awesomely subtle. Of course it DID set me back around 3.5k... but Imma be smelling good anyway! I also bought Mango's MNG Cut for my sister because it's her birthday this Jan 1st. I therefore conclude that I like working... 'cause I now give rockin' gifts to people!

Awwww... and Preacher Boy replies! (Click on images for legible view)

He's so funny! He's actually apologizing for making me "emotional" in replying to his messages! Oh dear Lord what kind of creature have you unleashed?! Certainly with a huge head, no doubt. Emotional my ass. You're just the entertainment I need, Tinkerboy.

Just admit that you got owned, bitch!

Lots of people ask me why I wear makeup everytime I go out.
I always ask if it's a problem...

and they always give me the usual "natural is beautiful" crap.

Shit. If I would walk around the city "100% natural" don't you think I'd scare the heck out of kiddies and old ladies alike?

Ah, evidence. I must warn you. Ahead is the stuff of nightmares...

Me in the morning. So natural. Scream if you like.

I'm sorry, but I'm not comfortable going out without makeup and if that bothers you, then it's your problem. I feel better about myself when I have this "gunk" (as you all put it) in my skin. At least now I can really FACE the world in confidence.

I'm not sure why people single me out and commenting about the smallest things. I mean, in Cebu, no one really wonders why I wear makeup. Almost everyone does! And I don't even look half as horrifying as those preteen princesses that wear thicker makeup than your average pageant contestant! I even think there's some false lashes in them eyelids! Come on!

If women feel better when they wear makeup, then for goodness' sake, wear them! Don't let anybody tell you otherwise 'cause who are they to tell you what makes you feel good inside? Sheesh! If some prefer to walk around with naked faces (but still with moisturizer, I hope), then that's their decision. If they feel good about that then good for them! Lord knows people need to do the things they do to keep happy! It's no rocket science. *rolls eyes*

And fuck it! I look gorgeous in makeup! It doesn't mean I look fake 'cause this is all me, baby! The canvas is still my face and these things enhance what little I have aesthetically. It makes me happy and that's that.

LOL! Just trying out this new software I downloaded that takes video snaps on my desktop.

That's a slideshow of stuff that happened from Dec.27-28. On the 27th (the first pic, me in blue with mama) was when we went to Dottie's Place to have dinner with Uncle Ching & fam, Uncle Binks & fam, and Lolo&Lola. We had my FAVORITE kare-kare, beef steak in onions, fried rice, some fish, and yummy barbecue (we have to smuggle them in! The best barbecue come from those stands atbang sa Agusan High. :P).

And today, we went to St. Joe's Cathedral to have Kuya Reimann's daughter, Lana, baptised. Soooo cute! The picture there (one with Dian) is with her older sister, Liza. I got to meet the family pet (and ex-champ!) Dennis the pekingese! What a cutie! ^_^

After lunch at their house (and yummy lechon! Humok kaayo!), we went to the office of the Vice Mayor at City Hall to do some paper/adultthing for some orders they made for some stickers. Then we went to LBC to get those stickers 'cause it took them so LOOOONG to deliver them to the office (we were expecting them since yesterday, duh!). Then went back to City Hall to give the box (4000 pieces!) to them.

What else? Oh, and we went to Uncle Sam's for a bite! Everyone knows they have the BEST burgers in Butuan! I got the Uncle Sam's Special: Bun, patty, egg, coleslaw, ketchup, mustard! YUM!

We went to see Happy Feet in the theaters yesterday (me, my sister, mom, dad). It was so fun! At first I was reluctant to see it 'cause I wasn't in the mood for a kiddie movie but I was extremely impressed with the animation and the massive amount of fuzzy penguin CUTENESS!!! The movie just made me feel... Happy! Ahahaha! And I was also quite impressed by Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, and Brittany Murphy's vocal talents! But I have to say the live action "humans" near the end of the film kinda ruins it for me, plus the ending kinda went near corniness, but what the hey! It's still a great movie overall. Just going to the theaters to see penguins dance is worth the money.

Okay. Here's a copy of a WAY OLD friendster bulletin post I submitted:

*sigh*
There was, once upon a time, a great idea for people to rediscover old playground pals, friends from grade school, and those paste-eating weirdos back in high school that turned out tobe hotties by college. It was a great concept, of course, to keep everything and everyone together in a neat site where you can meet friends' friends and corny stuff like that.

But then the sh*t just hit the fan and now everyone's soliciting testimonials like they'd die not getting one from random strangers they've just added seconds ago, some see the site as a race on who's got the most "friends" and the friendster status box became an evil, wretched thing.

And then, of course, came the constant bickering on who's got the coolest layout. Geez, people...

I mean, I'm sorry, but it used to be such a nice place to meet and greet friends. Now it's all lame and annoying. Everytime I open my profile I see people practically demanding testimonials and would look like they'd hang themselves if I won't write one. Sheesh! Get a life for cripe's sake!

Quit wRiTiNg LyK dIs 'cause people would think you're an idiot. Quit inviting me to be your friend because you're 40 and you're creeping me out. Quit blasting 4
videos altogether in your page because it's annoying. Quit pouting and winking and making peace signs because you're no Japanese schoolgirl. Quit saying you're ugly because nobody cares. Quit posting the same thing in the bulletin 'cause IT'S THE SAME EFFING THING AND EVERYONE GETS IT! Quit bawling about your sad, sad life because you have your own BLOG to do THAT. And lastly, QUIT those stupid-ass ASCII testimonials because they don't say anything about the people
you're giving it to!
Now, almost a week later and my post is already at the 7th page, I get this stupid-ass message from Cesar at friendster: (Click on the pics for legible versions)

So I replied that apparently HE CARES because he just HAD to react to it.
Then he sent this gem:

Uhm.. okaay... I don't know what he meant by that. He cares about me as a person but with what I wrote, not so much? Lot of bullshit logic there, don't you think? So I sent him a reply and here's his bout on that:

Okaaay... The gall of that guy to tell me to chill when he started everything! Sheesh!
Here's my reply (and then his reply..):

So now he wants me to stay away from friendster 'cause I found some people's activities annoying and not appropriate! The nerve! Like he owns the place or something!
So here's my reply to that:

So far, still no reply. But WHAT THE HECK IS THIS GUY'S PROBLEM?! WHAT A NUTCASE!

Phew! Christmas came and went just like that! All evidence that it passed us by are them shiny gift wrappers and huge bellies! LMAO!

But seriously, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without my family. I don't really know how it's like to other people but mine is as perfect as could be and I can't thank God enough for that. I don't pray much, but I do pray for their safety and health because they mean so much to me. I guess I grew up having the Holidays with them around and while I really like to be alone most of the time, I find myself looking forward to December and January because it's so much fun to have family and relatives around.

I can really say that I'm SO LUCKY to have such great people. My relatives are fun-loving, decent people and so much fun to be with. My uncles are great dads and perfect gentlemen and my aunts are just lovely, lovely women.... sometime along my life I'm hoping to have a relationship similar to theirs. And my cousins? Amazing, beautiful individuals! *sigh* It's really this time of the year where I feel so great to belong to this family! :)

Sunday, December 24, 2006

I won't go through the fuss of telling you guys what Christmas means because it differs from person to person. The year's climax is tonight, and once again we are led to reaffirm our faith and love to God, family, and friends. Let us appreciate what we have and love all we could. That's all there is to it.

My family and I would like to extend our greetings to you and yours this holiday season. May you all have a good one this year and the next! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

The dressmaker, Tata Calo, who I always run to for my gowns for debuts and whatnot gave me the cutest early Christmas present! 1 satin shirt and 1 barong for Yahoo!

This is the satin shirt: (phone is there for size comparison)

This is the barong:

Yahoo wearing the barong: (doesn't he look handsome?) :)

Tata, thanks so much!!! You're the best!

Right... just done bathing Yahoo. HARDEST job in the world, if you ask me! LOL! Okay, maybe not the bathing part. All you have to do is wash, shampoo, wash, condition, wash, allow to shake off water (probably his favorite part), wrap in a towel. Easy. The hardest part is actually the drying. All that hair. Yeah.

So after my dog is all clean and shiny, I get to be all wet and messy. Hrmph. If I don't love this kid... xD

But of course I do. Having Yahoo is probably one of the greatest things that ever happened in my life. I guess it might seem OA to most people, but him around is like taking my happy pills... only no OD-ing, you know what I mean? Who could not appreciate tiny licks on the cheek in the morning and that adoring, trusting look for the rest of the day? It's like caring for a baby... as expensive... as tiring... but you do get rewards ten-fold.

My Yahoo follows me and anyone else in the house around, often making you stumble and lose balance if you turn to walk and you didn't see him. He decided it would be "cute" to yip aloud after he licks me to wake up and I close my eyes and sleep again (of course, he stops when I completely doze off). I love how he would cuddle when I sit on the floor to watch TV. And his never-ending battle with the Christmas tree... And his perseverance to finally know what Chippy tastes like (I never give him chips :P). And how he would protest (by looking at me weird and whining :P) when I introduce him as Yahoo Lawrence Aquisola Montero to any customer who walks in the office. I love the prissy, snobbish way he walks. I love how his history as a palace dog is still alive in him (dude, he wants and loves being spoiled!). I love his soft hair (not fur!) especially when he just had a bath (give him 4 days :P). I love his big eyes and their expressiveness. I love how he runs off with my tsinelas to punish me for ignoring him when I'm working. I love his quest to conquer my tiny stuffed kitty charm on my mobile phone. I love how he would all of the sudden become alert whenever he hears a plastic bag open (might be yummies!). I love how he makes up his own mind and don't care for "sit" or "stay" if he doesn't feel like it. I love the way he makes everyone who meets him to fall in love with him instantly.

So many stories, and he isn't even a year old! I just LOVE him! So so SO very much. I can't imagine life without him again... *sigh*

And I worry about him constantly... if he has eaten enough... when he decides not to poo... fleas... mites... parvo... heartworm... if he would run outside if our gate is open and no one noticed... if he impregnates some street bitch (and I do mean a female dog :P). That episode when he totally couldn't stand because he lacked calcium was hell for me... I cried and panicked 'cause I thought he couldn't walk again.. :'(

Those months of researching for the right dog and fighting off the temptation to get a puppy ASAP was all worth it in the end. The money I spent on books, and bowls, and a water feeder, combs, brushes, leash and lead, dogfood, vitamins, shampoo & conditioner (which, btw, are HELLA EXPENSIVE), toys ---- all these BEFORE Yahoo arrived ---- and the other stuff I bought after... the endless questioning on Internet forums... the research... the phone calls... are all worth it. Definitely.

At the end of the day... there's someone who waits for me and is excited to see me. Yahoo has seen me at my worst (and I mean the fuggy fugness of my uglydom without makeup and IN THE MORNINGS), he loves me without condition and without reservations.

[Update]

Wheeee! Uncle Joel and Tita Mae ordered for me na! *jumps around*

-------------------

[Update]

LOL! After hyperventilating a bit, I emailed my Tita Mae to see if she could order a Lucky Bag for me. I will pay her when she arrives here in Butuan next year for Lolo and Lola's Golden Anniv. I hope hope HOPE she can get her hands on one! *crosses fingers*

-----------------

Gyaaaah! Anyone who's planning to get me a Christmas present, please please PLEASE consider THIS for me!

As expected, Yeng won. No contest there, really... the whole program's basically a tribute to the girl! LOL! Too bad my favorites went out too soon, though (Panky, Chad). *sigh* My mom had to calm me down 'cause Chad's performance during his duet with Panky got me a liiiiitle bit hyper. :P

Anyway, whatever Panky has up her sleeve in the future, I'm sure to watch out for it. She's amazing, really (I can't state that enough!)... and deliciously misunderstood too! Heheh. I don't know about you guys, but I'd always go for the underdog (Why not Rosita, you ask? She's annoying, people! She's a defensive, whiny diva who counted her eggs before they hatched.) Panky didn't sell out, she's still the same (if not better) when she came out of the Academy. I can totally understand and relate to her (so does my Tita Mae who watches PDA thru TFC in the States) 'cause I'm pretty misunderstood myself and I know what it's like to be talked about and sneered at for being different. And I know I can blow people away with what I got but I simply lack the "conventional" aesthetics and the willpower to give in to what everyone else thinks is "In". It takes a certain amount of "something" to be a Panky fan... not everyone has that and it's fine. I think it's great that Panky's not for everyone! Hehehe!

Saturday, December 16, 2006

First and foremost, Happy Birthday Krystel! Love you, Chi!

It's the PDA's Grand Dream Night tonight, y'all... *is nervous*
I'm hoping Panky Trinidad would win 'cause she's got AMAZING voice and attitude (I don't care what idiots say about her.. she ROCKS the stage and don't give a flying fuck to all you HATERS). Since Day 1 I've been supporting this girl, and it MUST mean something when she was the last ever scholar to ever get nominated for expulsion! God.. I feel this girl. She's a total phenomenon in my book! Go Panky!!!
... but then it MIGHT be Yeng who'd win. Everyone can sense ABS-CBN is favoring this tiny thing. She IS talented, though. Her voice is nice and she's also good to look at... although she DOES have a weird taste in guys (RJ.... Hello? I can't even BEAR listening to that voice! It annoys the heck outta me!)... She writes good songs... but so does Panky!

Friday, December 15, 2006

Almost 2pm... and just done watching Mists of Avalon (the movie, not the mini-series). It was a nice movie, although I'm not too happy about the cheesy scenes between Morgaine/Arthur and Gwenwyfar/Lancelot. I did find some relevance to the entire thing about the Goddess and how it ties in neatly with the story of the Da Vinci Code (very interesting) as was discussed at PSTT, and once again intensifies my stand in believing in a true God... and Goddess. I'm sorry to my super-Cath friends, but that's how I see it since...ever. God has feminine and masculine sides, he is both mother and father... Why people decide NOT to acknowledge that is beyond me.

But I WON'T be saying any more about that 'cause I know y'all would wanna debate on it and I hate debates about religion. It never ends and no one wins.

What else? My little furkid here is under my chair and content with just lying on his waterbed and sleep. It's raining outside so I thought we would just turn off the electric fan, much to his dismay... he looked at me weird when I turned the thing off. xD

Sorry babe... I just feel it's too cool already... plus you HAVE a waterbed that I've just gotten out of the fridge an hour ago! Spoiled brat! ---- but of course, I love y--- fine, I'm turning it on. *sighs*

Good morning my lost souls! Here's a nice YouTube video for y'all to watch. It's Amateur, by Lasse Gjertsen, a very talented dude from Norway (Hi Naz!) and is taking YT by storm. Note that he doesn't know how to play the piano or the drums. This is just pure good old video editing and stop-motion.

Genius.

Thursday, December 14, 2006

I'm after a mystery! Or... not! I've been surfing around the 'Net for quite a few years now... I've looked into several sites that most people don't even wanna bother to visit... and I've known lots of weirdness are out there... but this one may be the web version of S1M0NE (refer to the movie with Al Pacino).

The name? Beau LaTasha. She's supposed to be the most beautiful woman in the world. If you Google her name, it seems there are articles on blogs and forums with people praising her one-of-a-kind beauty... one that only comes once in a millennia... or so they say.

Here are a few things people claim are "facts" about her:

* She supposedly is multi-racial... like a combination of ALL races we all consider beautiful..
* She's "5'9 huge bedroom eyes, skin like butter,36c-19-36 (according to brother man magazine)
* She's 5'9" 36-18-36
* She's a supermodel in Europe... but also an actress...
* She's been on billboards and magazine covers everywhere...
* "Only in a million years does a woman this beautiful come along" - famous photographer Scavullo claimed to have said.
* She's turned into a preacher and left behind modelling (OMG! :P)
* She used to date some royalty
* She wore a billion-dollar diamond bikini to the Cannes Film Festival in 2002 that caused a stir
* She's 22 years old now.

She's supposed to be oh-so-famous... but no photographs of her anywhere!

So... are we to believe she really does exist? Or maybe she's made up by anti-Aiswarya Rai people? I beg to differ though. Aishwarya is really beautiful, no doubt about that, but she's not THE MOST BEAUTIFUL! She's the lady below this paragraph, by the way. Gorgeous, ya? But not enough for the title her people claims. ;)

I say my mom's the most beautiful! End of discussion! Ahahahahah!

Oh great.. while I was sleeping I scratched my arm with my long nails! Grr! And I can't really cut it 'cause I need them long for Chi's debut, right? Or wait.. yes I can! Arrrgh! *trims the evil things* I'm going crazy here! If ants aren't attacking me, there are mosquitos, some random bugs, AND NOW MY OWN NAILS! I think my right hand has a mind of its own... (Idle Hands much? :P) Fine.. I watch too much TV. *mutters*

Oh my glorious pet... so beautiful... so TEMPORARILY prestine. I just know Yahoo's gonna smell like our laundry basket in four days. LOL! We just bathed him yesterday and he smells like, well, basically like scented tissue with hints of baby powder goodness. When my parents know I just bathed my furkid they really take the time to hug him... probably 'cause they know it's not gonna last for long. Heheh.

Anyway, Yahoo's been visiting me upstairs in the mornings the whole week. It's his new thing. When he sees my mom or dad go upstairs to change after breakfast (at that time I've still parked my huge ass in the bedroom), he barks around and jumps on the first step on our stairs so mom/dad wouldn't be able to go up without having to pick him up! Genius. I taught my baby well. ;) Of course, not too well since my baby isn't depressed... which is good news since he's basically the one that keeps everyone sane and in check around here. He iiiiss kinda turning chubby though... 10+lbs on his last checkup (he was 8 months... he just turned 9 on the 12th this month)... still a good and normal weight for a tzu his age... but he's beginning to be a cramp-inducing pile of fur when he's carried around the place. That's why everyone's set a time limit in carrying the poor thing and usually it's just seconds for me to dance him around the place... Of course, as expected, he has this expression on his face that looks like I somewhat freak him out for being too weird. LOL!

Wait.. I think I have pics of that same expression...

Wednesday, December 13, 2006

So anyway, I uploaded a cutie animated Christmas theme for my w550i. I guess I felt the need to do something so I would be in the spirit of things, now that the hallowed event is only days away! I used this Santa Clause "ho ho ho!" greeting for my message alert and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" (by the Pretenders) for my ringtone! I'm all set and ready to be Chrismassed out! Whee! :P

But before that, another event's been getting me excited lately! It's Krystel's debut party! She's supposed to celebrate it on her birthdate (16Dec) but because of the storm, the ASEAN summit was rescheduled and so did their classes (bummer!). Party will be moved on the 22nd! I'm not too hot about my gown though... I hate how it turned out... I looked extra thick with it on, but mom and dad said I looked cute... but you know... keywords there are MOM and DAD. :P Anyway, take a sneak peak of my dress:

Scary, neh? I dunno... it looks weird...

Finally! Decent pictures of me! xD

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

These pics (along with 171 others!!!) were taken during the annual Julie's Bakeshop Christmas Party. It was fun, really... I got to be the official photographer! Heheh. I had to also compile all pictures and videos I took and make it into an interesting vid much like the ones I've been posting here lately. It's my new thing... heheh. It does help that iMovie is such a breeze to work with :)

Anyway, the party... lots of people there! Never thought 8 branches would total to a hundred employees or so... not to mention their families! It's pretty fun watching them have fun and dancing and exchanging presents. Mama never got the door prizes... the major ones were mobile phones!

Speaking of, I'm really interested in getting myself a new one (AGAIN?!). Maybe early next year. I've got my eye on the Sony Ericsson K800i (cybershot) and the Nokia N73.

vs
I'm still kinda confused which is better 'cause K800i has a great camera... but N73 is a smartphone... K800i is around p18k, N73 is around p23k.

*sigh*

Today is Ana Carmela's 8th Birthday! Woot Woot!

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Anyway, look what happened when I used my old pic in the my heritage face recognition thing:

* Tarja Turunen is the lead singer of Nightwish!
* St. Therese... hello... is who I was named after.
* Marilyn Manson? I was listening to Beautiful People when I did this recog thing!
* Tori Amos? OMG!
* Artaud? Theater of Cruelty, anyone?
* Nina Hagen... she voiced Sally in the German version of Nightmare Before Christmas!

He keeps on hurting me.
He doesn't know he does... but I can't tell him either.

Every word is a knife on my side.
I want to hate him but I can't...

I want to make him die for all the things he's done to me. I want him to suffer and wish him pain.
But I love him and I can't hurt him.
:'(

Hair Reborn day! Whee! Since there's nothing much else to spend on when me's here in BXU (except for random necessities and for the Hoobster), I decided I'd have my hair reborn every month! Wheee!!!! I think I look better with straight hair, don't you think? ;)

I LIVE!!! NYAHAHAHAH!

Sunday, December 03, 2006

That's the compilation of all the pictures we took with our camera on Danna's birthday. We have yet to see the ones her hired photographer took, so this is all for now. Heheh. ;)

I'm back! And I can proudly say that I survived travelling back and forth Cagayan de Oro without any motion sickness! I feel like I can do anything now! LOL! :)

Anyway, Danna's debut party was so beautiful! SHE was beautiful! :)

Of course, I looked like a frog there... but whatever. Everyone else looked gorgeous.

I was a bit worried about Yahoo, though. I kept thinking of him over whole trip and I'm glad to report he's doing well during our overnight stay in CDO. I called home last Friday to check on him and Manang Neneng also told me that Rainwater's package arrived that day too! So there's gonna be lots of surprises for my baby when I arrive (also bought him a spiky toy in CDO).

Uhm, it's already 1am so there's really no time for me to upload a hundred or so pictures of Danna's birthday. Imma do that tomorrow, ok? ^__^ Right now I DO have pictures of Yahoo's new stuff! (Gerard, thanks so much for the EXTRA water cushion!)
