Awkies... sorry for the late updates regarding our little HK trip, but was too tired to do anything when we returned. :P

Pics found here:

Let's start with our trip to Cebu...

We went to the airport at around 1:30 pm (there we met Ela & Fam, Uncle Ching & Auntie Grace), it was super hot (they had 3 large air conditioners in the waiting lounge but it didn't help any.. there were just too many people and the weather was... ugh.) So anyway, we arrived in Cebu at around 3pm and went directly to Paragon Suites.

Hmm.. Paragon... is a bit... dark? I dunno but their front desk and mini cafe didn't have much light, even though it was still in the afternoon....

Anyway, we went straight to SM for a couple of stuff: first, I have to go to Graphic Star to have my new tarp printed for our sign outside, then get a universal outlet thingie for our chargers, and go to Shakey's for mojo potatoes and pizza... xD (our Shakey's branch in Butuan closed years ago... we don't know why... and we preferred Shakey's pizza than Pizza Hut... it's more tasty...)

We were supposed to visit St. Michael Village that night but my parents opted to get a good night's rest before our big flight the next day. Plus we wanted to visit the Santo Niño Church (Cathedral?) early in the AM as well.

Let's see... the next day, after attending mass at Sto. Niño, we gathered our stuff and went to St. Michael's to meet up with everyone so we can go to the airport together. The plan was to go at around 1:30 'cause our flight is at around 3. After lunch, it was just a matter of waiting for time and the taxis to get us to the airport.

So, we're at the Mactan Int'l Airport... surprise! Our flight was delayed from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. So we had a good few hours to sit and do nothing at the waiting lounge (good thing the airconditioner was ok!)... of course, since this is our family we're talking about, most of our waiting time consists of poker games and taking pictures. Cebu Pacific was nice enough to give us a free dinner (Jollibee chicken and rice... and bottled water...)

At 4:45... Tadah! Our flight has been further delayed and we will now be flying at 8:00 pm! o.O
I almost thought Lolo would decide it's too much BS and just cancel our trip, but he sat on patiently with the rest of us, so... ;)

So we were wondering what Cebu Pacific will give us next for the delay... and guess what? Each of us got FREE one-way tickets to any Asian destination! Whaa?!? (Awesome, right?)

And at last... at around 8:30pm, we were on our way to Hoooong Koooong. (PHEW!)

The HK flight too about 2hrs, 45mins. We arrived ang got out of the airport at around 12:00 pm (which is funny 'cause our Passport says we left at May 1st and arrived at May 2nd) ;) The airport was huge and clean, I can't really be sure if it was nice since there's really no people around at that time and their shops were closed. One interesting thing is that throughout the whole trip we had to fill out health declaration forms and a good percent of the people you see are already wearing masks... fortunately the fact that the h1n1 virus was becoming a threat didn't faze us one bit. (Of course, we still observe the proper hygiene thing so we don't catch it.... so we wash our hands a lot and use hand sanitizers every few minutes :P)

So! Hong Kong! We got to our bus that'll take us to BP International House... the whole drive is around 30 minutes (without traffic, since it's already midnight), and along the way we got to see spectacular buildings... I can't believe how high these things go! The highest I ever saw in Butuan was the Carl Patricks' building... uhm... 6 floors bah? :P) And in every other block you will see new buildings being constructed, covered in green nets and inside bamboo skeleton structures!

We arrived at our hotel at 1-ish... and the streets around it are still buzzing with life. You can't help feeling excited seeing neon lights, the chinese signs, the 7-11's in every corner... ^_^

After check-in, we checked out our rooms... and I must admit, I didn't expect bunk beds in a hotel! Haha! Ah, well, how else can you squeeze in four people into a teeny room? Anyway, doesn't matter since we won't be around the hotel the whole time... no problem!

And at around 3am... zzZzZzz... everyone went to sleep to get ready for our Disneyland adventure the next day (everyone in our room anyway, I think Danna and Chi and Kuya went outside and took pics pa).

DISNEYYY!!!!

*ahem*

But that's for another post. I'm a bit tired na, I have to work tomorrow. ;)
Toodlesh!

Happy Mother's Day to my Mommy, my Aunts, my Lolas, and all the moms out there!

I love my Mom soooo much, even when she sometimes gets too obsessive/compulsive and goes berserk when I ask the same questions over and over. :P I love you Mommy! I couldn't have survived this long without you! Heart!

Hello!
Back from our Hong Kong adventure!

A bit tired to do anything right now, but will definitely blog in detail in a few days.
Highlights are the following:

- Arrival at the HK Intl. Airport
- City Tour (Victoria Harbor, Souvenir shop, Jewelry place... forgot what it's called)
- DISNEYLAND!!!
- Macau (St. Paul Ruins, A-Ma temple & the Egg Tart place, Souvenir & Antique Shop, and The Venetian)

Updates:
- unfortunately didn't get the dolls I liked... we did go to Mong Kok but it was around 10pm, we were tired from our Disney trip, and some of the shops selling Blythes and Pullips were already closed or beginning to close shop. (It makes me wanna cry when I think about it...)
- LOVE the Disney experience... it was the best!
- LOVE curry with pork chops (actually, I love all of their food!)
- LOVE the fashion! Everyone looks like they come straight out of a movie set!
- LOVE the weather... it's so cool! (But if you go directly under the sun at noon, it's hot lah!)
- Didn't like too much some people (probably tourists from mainland China) and some Indian tourists... they're rude.
- I WISH we had more time!
- I WANT TO COME BACK late this year or next year!!! I HEART HK!

Byebye!

Okay... I am officially stressed out of my mind! O.O

(Stressed OR depressed? AND depressed? I definitely know I'm stressed though... )

I -know- when my system's out of whack when I notice I am not sleeping well (or none at all) and I eat more than I usually do.

To demonstrate:

When my mom tells me to sleep early or wake up early, I usually turn on my mobile's alarm (it's really better to hear my phone than my mom or my sister waking me up... it's just... annoying).

The bad thing is that I get so stressed out about waiting to hear the damned thing to go off and count the hours until it does that I can't sleep a wink! The weirdest part? After the alarm happens, I finally can get sleep... because I know it won't ring anymore. -.-;

(And this STILL isn't as bad as my mom waking me up... *sigh*)

For the eating part, I ate the following today:

Bfast is rice and chorizo.
Snacked on a Snickers bar.
Lunch is zilch (because I slept... didn't get any during the night... dang)
Snacked on a Snickers bar AGAIN.
Dinner is a mini-cup of jjamppong and fried rice.
Snacked on a cup of ice cream.
and for midnight, I ate 2 more mini-cups of jjamppong.

That's some piggery fuckalooza, right?

Anyway, I'm stressing out and my period is coming close so that makes for a really craptastic month for me. Add in one seriously bogus client... and I'm finding myself wishing I can sleep until the 30th and wake up in a plane to Hong Kong.

Bah.. some HKer making racist remarks over Pinoys ("nation of servants"), etc.

Honestly, I can't be bothered. We're just too darned sensitive. -.-;
Anyway, what does Chip Tsao know about Pinoys?

Crud.
Might as well kiss the idea of getting 2 dolls in HK goodbye (it was a stretch anyway... but y'all know me... dreamer. :P)

I simply didn't save as much as I hoped. Everything would've went well if the HK Tour Package thing didn't cost so much.. I thought it was just below 15k (*sigh* how naive can I be?) and the rest of the money I saved from work will go to shopping... now that a huge chunk went to the tickets/hotel/tours, I haven't got much left and one of my clients just backed out from her schedule so I have to refund. *sigh*

I'm too stressed out to even think of scheduling more work right now... the current ones I'm working on has been evil.

Ah, well.. it's probably the World telling me to just stop collecting these damned dolls. In a few months after I get them I'd get depressed anyway 'cause I don't know where to buy clothes for them or stuff to customize them. (Well, the idea of getting these dolls anyway is because they are fashion dolls... they can be customized, ie painted on, change their wigs/eyes/clothes/etc. and the whole hobby is actually more pricey than the doll itself... it will be a shame if you're just getting them to display or make them be just as they are... that's not why they are made. It's like buying a canvas... and you still have to get your paint, brushes, etc.)

And the dolls I like aren't even the Limited Eds. They're the regular releases. I can't even dream to TOUCH L.E.'s...

Hay. Peste.

Okay, so what I'd most want to buy in HK would be this beauty:

Photo courtesy of Cheonsang Cheonha & Jun Planning

Perfect, right? Look at those eyes!
Anyway, there's actually a seller here in the Philippines who has one available and never removed from box... but the price is p6000 and I'll try to see if buying one in HK would be cheaper... though it would be too sad if I didn't buy one there and go home to find that the seller from here has sold it (ku ku ku)

But we'll see. :) I can always order along with the others if they're organizing a preorder. I've been looking at the new dolls since June last year and they haven't really grabbed my attention as much as Neo Noir... I thought I'd stop buying a goth-themed Pullip since I already have my Cornice (Margaux), but I just have to have her! *sniffles* (and hey, I did promise to get just 2 per year... and I might never get this chance again since I only get to buy the dolls when I or someone's abroad! It's just way cheaper to get it from a brick and mortar shop than online with shipping and all...)

Here's keeping my fingers crossed that I will get her in HK.

Oh dear... and I was thinking of getting my very first Blythe doll there too... *sigh*

Ashletina

Pretty, huh? *sigh*
On my wishlist for Blythes (in order): Ashletina, Friendly Freckles, Natasha Moore.

I'm praying (and praying HARD!) that I can be able to afford 1 Blythe and 1 Pullip (Neo Noir)... I'd hate to have to give up one to get the other... *sniffles* but if I HAVE to... I'd probably get a Blythe first since I already have 5 dolls from Jun Planning... Awh my heart aches! T_T
