Little Bruce and Jenny are only 10 years old, but they know they are in love.

One day they decide that they want to get married, so Bruce goes to Jenny’s father to ask him for her hand.

Bruce bravely walks up to him and says, ‘Mr. Smith, me and Jenny are in love and I want to ask you for her hand in marriage.’

Thinking that this was just the cutest thing, Mr. Smith replies, ‘Well Bruce, you are only 10. Where will you two live?’

Without even taking a moment to think about it, Bruce replies, ‘In Jenny’s room. It’s bigger than mine and we can both fit there nicely.’

Still thinking this is just adorable, Mr. Smith says with a huge grin, ‘Okay then how will you live? You’re not old enough to get a job. You’ll need to support Jenny.’

Again, Bruce instantly replies, ‘Our allowance. Jenny makes five bucks a week and I make 10 bucks a week. That’s about 60 bucks a month and that should do us just fine.’

Mr. Smith is impressed Bruce has put so much thought into this. ‘Well Bruce, it seems like you have everything figured out. I just have one more question. What will you do if the two of you should have little ones of your own?’

Bruce just shrugs his shoulders and says, ‘Well, we’ve been lucky so far.’

Mr. Smith no longer thinks the little shit is adorable.

SO...

Last night was... well... interesting. :P

Actually we planned to go out Thursday night but I had to pass 'cause I have to wake up early for the poster-making judge thing and Suzette has finals, so we moved it to Saturday. We met up at Uncle Sam's (a.k.a. BXU's bestest, greasiest, yummiest burgers!) to get dinner (okay, so they also serve meals... didn't know that :P).

We had bulalo and tadyang (effing yummy!) and that was basically the most bovine I've had for dinner for a long time. :P

For entertainment (aw, entertainment ba? :P), Suzette brought along her old high school autograph book so I could read Floyd and Eubel's entries... funny stuff... you should read to believe. xD (I suck at recalling stuff I've read, really, including books :P)

At around 9-ish (I think?), where my brain activity plummeted according to schedule (actually it starts at 10, but I just ate cow y'all!) We went to Woodstock for Suzette's main event: Karaoke! Yay! ;) Actually of course we all get to sing and stuff, but this is like... therapy session for Sosit. Haha! Hoped you sang all your frustrations away, manang!

Okay, so I've never been to Woodstock before... it's this small bar-place-thing mostly made of wood (duh, the name...), kinda creaky and dark, and kinda smells funky (especially the karaoke rooms, man.. they smell like... Tender Care? :P)... the new sights and smell bothered me a bit (reminds me of a shady part of town) but when you're really set into singing and having fun (and maybe drinking) you kinda don't have a choice but to just take everything as.. well.. part of the experience. Mind you they really have fast service (but then I guess that's 'cause nobody else was there 'cause it's still a bit early).

Anyway the karaoke room wasn't much... it's... rustic, I guess, and kinda fashioned more like a sauna than somewhere you can sing alcohol-slurred songs to... but whatever :P Note that there's... really... not much fun places in Butuan... it's really either you catch a movie, eat at a resto, or drink past drunk... so... ;)

Hmm... we had the room for 3 hours... at maybe around half that I was feeling slightly buzzed already (or whatever you call it when your fingertips feel funny and your arms heavy and you think everything's too darned dark). I was aware of what people were asking me and what they're doing (heck, I can still read the lyrics to songs!), but somehow I don't remember what I was saying and some little details. :P I know how I got home but I can't remember the exact time... and I know where my phone is in my bag but I can't find where it's placed inside. :P I actually had to ask Suzette to text for me 'cause I really can't find my mom's number. xD

Ahm...
Okay, so as I told Eubel today (after a mini-assessment of last night through SMS), that was basically my Phase 1. The final Phase happened when I was in college and I was already cussing and saying stuff in ENGLISH. :P Not bad, come to think of it, but I do remember having to ask my boardmates to help me get up to go to the bathroom and I had the most embarrassing episode at school the next day (Jappy recorded the whole thing and let everyone in our batch listen.. hmm..). Yes... Phase 3. I'll try not to ever go there again. :P

Overall... fun experience... save some moments that I forgot about. :P Good thing my mom didn't ask me anything when I got home... xD

So! Guys! Thanks! xD

So today was the judging for the Water District Poster-making contest! It was an annual event basically to raise awareness about water conservation and stuff so there were lots of other events such as making essays, take photos, and a quiz bowl.

Anyway I arrived around 9am and joined the other judges. The first time I met with them during the judges' luncheon I wasn't really talking and stuff... but spending the whole day with them has turned out some really funny/weird moments!

Well, of course we have to discuss the task at hand... I was to take part in judging the entries for poster-making for elementary and high school (along with 4 other people). It's my first time judging so I was a bit nervous that I might suck and give too low or too high scores to people that don't deserve it. :P But, yeah, well I decided to just go with the flow of things and that plan worked pretty well... I enjoyed watching the kids work and I liked looking at their artworks when they're done. There were several really good ones... and there were also those that might need a little more practice (or time, I guess).

The morning was for the elementary participants. I was feeling a little nostalgic that I experienced the same thing exactly 10 years ago! xD And, yeah, felt a little old... but then I'm still the youngest amongst the judges. :P The contestants really had everything spoon-fed to them though... Our chairman, Jessie (soon to reveal his sculpture of Manny Pacquiao, no less!), encouraged the kids to forget about the pieces they practiced on before the contest and just think up a masterpiece for themselves.... but it looked like they still did what their teachers/coaches told them to draw... and that was before the theme was revealed (well, there's really nothing much about the theme that you can't figure out in joining a Water District contest :P).

But in the old days (yeah, OLD), I was just told to appear without a coach/teacher with me, bought my own stuff (my school didn't give me allowance), tried to fill a whole cartolina with drawings (now it's only half a cartolina), and do it all in an hour (now it's 2 hours!). I won p1000 (now it's p3,500). Haaay... kids these days... swerte. ;)

So anyway, like I said, they have 2 hours to finish filling up a teeny 1/2-size cartolina (I'm not letting this issue go, I tell ya! xD), so since we can't really just watch the contestants draw from start to finish (well, they'll feel uncomfortable with people watching them, ne?) so we had some time to talk and stuff. Topics mainly varying from... politics... and religion... and art... and lovelives (in my case, the lack of. They were properly sympathetic :P)... and who their nude models were... and nightlife (*ahem* in my case again... nvm you know na)... and more art... and zomg Billy threw in a recorded sex scandal from his mobile phone--- for good measure. :P He said he's got 50, so... XD (and no, I didn't watch :P)

Actually there were lots more things that happened (and topics that we covered)... that's around... 2+2 (from both elem and HS contests hours) + 2 for lunch break so... 6 hours of talking! lol! And yeah, I can't really say everything here (and I can't show the entries as well since the winner won't be announced 'til Monday!), so yeah... I'll end this post with...

A random pictures of some of the judges (at work) YAY!

That's me, Billy, and Ate Cherry (who I think is also Suzette's friend at SFC, yes?)

WOW. I just can't believe... that someone I know... can do that! o.O

- WOW-
And NOT a good wow! O.O

I mean I know guys can do a lot of stupid stuff while bored and/or drunk... but there's no real need to RECORD it! Or, ok, record it if you just absolutely HAVE to... but don't upload it someplace! (and if you don't, rest assured that one of your so-called friends will do it for you!)

Guys... just... keep you business off the Internet for cripe's sake! It's -disgusting- and nobody wants to stumble into the 'net seeing your... things! SHEESH!

(click on pic for larger fug!)

Ahaha! What do you guys think? I totally FORGOT about this dress! Someone gave this to me as a thank you for designing her website and I guess I never really found the perfect event to wear it... *sigh* So sorry, dress...

Anyway, yes, I love black tights... and with the same fate as the dress there, it was laid forgotten because, again, I can't find any good events to wear them to.

And yes... this is my room. It's 4am. When I can't sleep I go around my room and rummage though stuff. Believe me.. I've also found another blouse I haven't worn before jammed somewhere at the same night! xD
And it -IS- messy. :P

Something extra:
(This is... a week ago, I think)

Monday, March 24, 2008

Ok.. I dunno what happened to my last entry separator, but it's lost so I made this new one (You've been blogged!). lol!

-----

Hmm.. okay, so Happy Easter! And since it's a day of miracles, I had a little miracle as well: I joined the 4am Easter mass!!! I haven't done that for... maybe a decade or more?

Somehow watching the children trying to be angels and see if the main angel that crowns Mary will fall kinda lost its fun after a while, so.... Anyway my dad wanted to go and my mom and sister are still in CdO so I had to accompany him. I didn't really mind too since I want to see if anything new will happen (the only new thing was that they stopped using those ridiculous wires to "fly" the angel to Mary and used a crane to lift her up). :P

Aaaand... they didn't hang and burn Judas after the mass... *is bummed*.

What else? Hmm... we went to McDonald's for breakfast... saw some familiar faces there... it was a bit boring and nothing note-worthy (the usual Longganisa and Pancakes for me)... went home for a quick nap... then woke up for lunch at Ela's house... and went home again to wait for Suzette 'cause she just came from Bohol (well, Cebu, actually, but nvm) and she got me foodehs (kalamay and peanut kisses!). ^_^ And she also got me a cutie Tarsier mascot to hang somewhere (I guess in my phone? But I decided the Tarsi will feel better on some plants in my office... Salamat nang!)

Hmm... basically the entire afternoon was spent talking about her trip to Bohol with Tina and Zen... some drinking stories... and of course about the tiny Tarsiers... aaaand that floating resto thing... more drinking stories... something about exes rising from the dead and resurrecting old issues (talk about Easter!)... something about a lone palm tree at Zen's...

Eubel came to hang out (and claim his "pasalubongs" fron Suzette)... he brought along his darling Shih Tzu, Sarah (she's so adorable!). I miss carrying around a baby tzu! And she and Yahoo were closely monitored so nothing "weird" happens (sometimes Yahoo's on the floor and Sarah's carried by her dad, or Sarah's on the floor and Yahoo's carried by me :P)... Strict ang parents! LOL!

Aaand... more talking... and teasing Eubel just 'cause Floyd isn't around and he's terribly outnumbered (ahahah!)... Eubel left for a bit to do some errands so us girls decided to make over Sarah (we redid her hairstyle!)... aaand decided to let the two play on the floor under close supervision (or, well, since it's me watching over Yahoo, he can't REALLY go near her too much... :P Sorry 'Hoo!) And after Eubel returned he and Suzette left (Suzette went to someone's Graduation party... which turned out to be an event that my dad and I were invited too... :P) So we saw each other there again... but not much talking though since I had to go inside with dad to eat and talk to people... etc etc etc

Saw Miguel later on and congratulated him in graduating too (Congrats napud Noy! Ahem.. ako himo sa imong fansite ha!)... also saw some old faces that I didn't really expect to see (some CFC kids I kinda grew up with... but I guess I never really got close to them)... Had some small chitchat with uncles and aunts from CFC... Went home... Suzette texting me about someone at the party saying there was this batchmate in high school that said something that I went emo/goth/whatever... and I texted back that I thought it was some weird rumor that I got pregnant or something silly like that... I didn't really mind about the goth thing 'cause it's somewhat true... only they shouldn't really label me 'cause I'm a lot of things they don't know but whatever... aaand again about Suzette's zombie-ex (rising-from-grave reference above) and I feel like I want to see this guy and castrate him... aaand... I'm online!

Online, I talked with my webcam on with Rymson and Eubel... I just really teased Rym a lot 'cause he's hopelessly pervy and he blushes like crazy (AHAHAHAH! You really can't beat me, Rym!)... Eubel was on about Suzette's problem and again raised the suggestion about castrating the idiot... and he signed off 'cause he was sleepy... so back to teasing Rym but we still talked about the usual stuff later on... and I guess I'm happy for one of my favorite Dutchie (I think Yiri and Bokks are doing alright as well)... And here's me.. blogging... in a weird way... with the "...'s" ...

:P

Oh! Happy Birthday to Deedee (Mar23) and Kakarl (Mar24)!!! I love you guys so much!

Ah, tea...
And yes, that's me behind my sister's sheepy mug because I look fug when I wake up and there's nothing better to get me out of my waking funk than a good big mug of tea (today's order is your simple everyday black tea with a bit of cream. It tastes like Chowking's Nai Cha, by the way... only way better 'cause I didn't have to get all gussied up to get it. But when I do find myself materializing at Chowking, Nai Cha will always be the first to be ordered. :P)

And I just realized something... I might be using up all nice names for my dolls that my own (future) kids will end up with the lame ones at the bottom of the barrel...
Ahahahaha! But I guess it's not my dolls' fault that they came first. :P

Sorry... it's all really freestyle randomness today... it's only me and my dad here at home 'cause my mom and sister went to Cagayan de Oro for a cousin's birthday and to get my sister her passport (I think my mom needs to renew hers too?).

Me and dad? We like sleeping than talking.. so that's what we did... I slept the whole day in my room, and dad slept in his room... and I guess maybe he would randomly wake up to see what's on TV... probably to watch those random Lent specials. *ho-hum*

Aaaand I just finished the layout last night... to my relief.
Aaaaand... that's pretty much it for now.

*sips tea*
Bye y'all!

I'm blogging to announce the name of my Dal Frara:

She is now Asha Elizabeth. *big smile*

Ooo! Guess what! My mom and sister might go to Singapore on the last week of May! *is excited for them* ^_^ Heeey I might even ask them to bring me something from Magma Heritage! Ahahaha! *crosses fingers* Here's to hoping I'll save up for a Taeyang! ^_^ I want either a Horizon or a Butler.

Friday, March 21, 2008

So... it's 4am and I've just finished someone's drafts for a layout... I hope, hope, hope I'll only get to do minor revisions after she sees the thing (with my luck? hah!)... *sigh*

*sigh sigh sigh*
Why do I feel somewhat melancholic? It's strange 'cause I rarely feel sad these days (what's to feel sad anyway?). Maybe it's 'cause it's Lent? Nah... religious events don't have that much of an impact on me (except that time the Pope died...)

Or do I feel somewhat left out because I don't feel the same way 90% of the country's feeling? Hmm... not really... I rarely care if I'm left out on anything either (that's basically the story of my life... AND the fact that I usually choose to go against the current anyway)...

So what the hell am I feeling so down?! O.O

--- And don't tell me it's about the L-word again (or the lack of...)! I get plenty of those at home and I have friends to keep me busy... heck, I have work and a ton of weird people to keep me busy so I don't think it's THAT reason (again). Is it? :-/

I shouldn't even worry about that now... First of all I'm still 23... I've a good chance to find someone before I turn 40 (or whatever age people get wrinkly these days).

And I've got a reasonably good head on my shoulders so I guess we can count out doing anything stupid before I find someone (like, die or get hit by a truck or get killed by a homeless person). Ok I am sarcastic, and random, and I sometimes catch myself laughing alone at my own jokes... but hey, nobody's perfect, right? xD

What else?
I think I'm ok-looking... Ok, I admit I scare the heck out of people sometimes but I reckon it's more about the stuff I do or think about rather than how I look... except on times I go goth and that's like once in a blue moon... I'm certainly not gorgeous by media standards but I can categorize my looks as "interesting", meaning people can't fit me into the "pretty" mold, but they find me attractive... but they can't seem to figure out WHY! :P (And by the way I'm not trying to be conceited when I say these things... it's just my observation so please control the urge to throw stones at me.) :P

Hmm... ok, the height-thing, I am sensitive about. I may be a midget in other countries. :P (By the way, did you see those gnome videos on YouTube? Freaky!)

Ok... so aside from having decent intellect and passable looks (more or less)... what other merits do I have to earn "someone"? O.o

Actually, the two things I've mentioned are really trivial since everyone knows the mighty L-word does not care about brains nor beauty! It freakin' gets you from behind and you'll never know you're done for until it's actually happening (wow... very insightful... for someone who's been broken up with a couple of times...)

But it's true... you can be near-Hiltonesque in stupidity and freak-show fug and STILL find someone!

And isn't that a little ray of sunshine for hopeless morons like me?

So no, I am NOT feeling down today because of the L-word (HAHA but it took me THAT long to explain, right? I seriously need therapy, y'all..)

Maybe... I feel down 'cause I ate some extra spicy wanton noodles and it got my tummy all weird? Wait, no, that's something else. o.O

Bah. I'm just feeling down. Period.

OH WAIT! Mebbe that's it! My period! (hahaha! Lame-O! Naw.. it's really something else. :P)

Green eyes! I sker you!!! Bwahahahah! xD
(Sorry... this is really random... but I like the effect! I might want to buy a new set of contacts soon. xD)

Eubel did Raion! (FYI, that's by Jinn, used in one of the opening sequences of Blood+, and was the music I used for my birthday video) Dude, you're awesome!

Monday, March 17, 2008

Okay, so people have asked me why I hadn't blogged about Singapore yet... sorry about that y'all... after I got home I was pretty much swept away by a flurry of engagements such as Yahoo's spiffy birthday, my cousin Ela's recognition and matching celebration, my own birthday, and trying to sort everything out including a heckload of emails to reply or send to the trash, not to mention the gazillions of pictures I had to transfer online from my trip.... *le sigh*

This will be a looooong post. If you just want to look at pics and vids, here be linkages:

So... Singapore...
It really is a spectacular place! It's great to see a place with diverse range of nationalities and languages and everyone seemed so nice! What's super about it is how everyone's so concerned about the place and wanted to keep everything neat and in order for everyone else! (And yes, it's true that it's really clean in Singapore) And another truth would be that everything is made to be convenient for all (MRTs and buses in one tap of a card, Taxis and Buses stop only at proper places, their library system, etc etc etc)

When we arrived (around 7pm at Changi), I was pretty much overwhelmed by the airport... it's just really... HUGE... and orchids just sprout randomly everywhere... and just really nice all around (God I really suck at describing places like these...all I could do was take it all in in silence)!

We went to the RiverWalk and was treated dinner by Uncle Dodong and family (Uncle Bink's brother) and it was really something to eat by the riverside where tourboats occasionally pass by with lighted paper lamps and the water reflecting the lights from nearby buildings and streetlamps... I pretty much ate in silence 'cause, again, I was feeling overwhelmed and all I could think about was that I am actually in Singapore and I can't believe it! xD (Sorry... this is really my first trip abroad, so...) I also got a real treat because when I looked at my tea, one stalk was floating upright (it means good luck!). ^_^

The next day, we met with Uncle Dodong so we can experience Singapore like real locals: We skipped the guided tour packages and went to Jurong Bird Park via MRT (an experience I will never forget!). It was my first time on a underground transpo and I was really excited to get on it. We had to head to Boon Lay via the East West Line and go take a bus to the bird park. It's about... hmm... 30-40 minutes from the MRT station near Excelsior to Boon Lay (not sure, was busy looking at nice buildings along the way :P).

***
This needs to be pointed out: Our breakfast as Excelsior was THE BESTEST!!! It's like a buffet and stuff and ZOMG there were omelette, and french toast, and pancakes, and ROAST BEEF, and PASTA, and sausages, and mountains of bacon, and fluffy, fluffy scrambled eggs, and.. and... *mumbles on and sobs* It's heaven, y'all...
***

Yay Jurong Bird Park! Lots of... birds! But those spiffy ones like penguins (I cried when I saw them!), and macaws, and flamingos! I even got the chance to feed some lories ($2 for the food-things). ^_^ I loved how some of the birdies perched on my arm to try to get to the food, but one particularly dominant one tried to peck my pinkie finger 'cause it wanted the food all for himself (selfish bastard). :P I had a little trouble trying to convince them that they got all the food though... I had to push them gently back to the rails so they can go off and look for other feeders.

Anyway, we didn't have a lot of time since we need to visit Sentosa before the day ends, so we got on the panorail to see the entire place!

Okay, so we're off to Sentosa! We had to take the bus back to Boon Lay Station, headed to HarbourFront Station where we went to VivoCity (where I bought my 2Gig Memory Card since I was toopid enough not to get one here) we got tickets for Sentosa, and hopped on the Sentosa Express monorail. ^_^ On the way we saw some stuff under construction, something about more fun stuff for 2010... and we saw the Merlion too!

And... and... we stopped at Beach Station to get tickets for Songs of the Sea (a laser/water/light/fireworks show by the sea) and a dolphin show at Dolphin Lagoon which included entrance to see the Underwater World! Since the SoTS presentation isn't starting 'til it's dark, we went to Underwater World to check out ze fishes in giant tanks! I looooved the part where I got to go under this glass tunnel with so many fishies inside including sharks and manatees! Aaand outside I also so spiffy creatures like the ancient horseshoe crab and those gorgeous leafy sea dragons! (And again, wanted to cry 'cause I always wanted to see these after I saw them at the Discovery Channel when I was a kid). There were also creatures called "Sea Angels", very tiny slugs that live in cold, dark waters that glow around their tummies... what's so nice about them are that they look otherworldly like they're flying with those tiny "wings" on their sides. (They're fast and tiny so you have to look into these magnifying globes on the sides of the tank, same as sea monkey tanks :P)

We then went to Dolphin Lagoon to watch some pink dolphins do tricks. The shoreline was already full of people and while waiting we were entertained by a peacock roaming around the sand, sometimes going near some people to check them out (and maybe ask for some food). The show was around 15-20 minutes long and the dolphins were really awesome! They're really smart and can do lots of tricks like balancing and throwing balls, twirling hoops, jumping up and hitting a ball a few feet above... really cool stuff! I wish I had the chance to pet them but I didn't bring extra clothes along and it's like an extra $15 to swim and take pictures with them (I'm a cheapskate, what can I do?)

And, of course, one of the most unforgettable experiences I had in Singapore is watching the Songs of the Sea! When I watch my videos again I get goosebumps! xD The story's pretty much for kiddies... what draws the teens and adults are the spiffy effects of combining laser, water, fire, and light which makes one fantastic treat for the eyes! (I kept on saying "Whoa!"... I hope I wasn't annoying the Koreans on the seats next to us... but I doubt they heard me 'cause I guess they're saying Whoa too xD).

So yes... that was Day 1. Overall, super super super cool! There were some stuff I still wanted to see or try like the Birds of Prey shows at Jurong, or visit the Butterfly and Insect park at Sentosa... but I'm really super thankful I was able to step foot into these places in the first place so I really don't mind all that much! :P

So sleep... wake up... BREAKFAST... and we went to church at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd near the hotel (you can actually walk, but since Lola had a bad knee we took a cab). After that, we met up with Uncle Dodong so he can take us to Suntec City Mall for lunch, get tickets for the Duck Tours (a city tour on an amphibious transpo) for Lolo, Lola, and Uncle Ray with Justin (Uncle Dodong's son), while Uncle Dodong helped me search for Magma Heritage at Aljunied. So we separated in 2 groups and planned to meet up later in the afternoon to check out Orchard Road.

Oh Magma Heritage... it took us about a decade to locate the shop because there was no mention of which building it was on... so we had to roam around 23 Geylang to see each building.. 'til it rained a bit so we had to stop by some eatery so we won't get wet. Poor Uncle Dodong had to phone Auntie Lolit so she can check the site again at home to see if it mentioned a phone number or the building name... I was close to saying we can just head back 'cause it's really not worth all this trouble... but they did figure out the phone number and Uncle called them up. It was on D'Centennial building (which we already passed by a couple of times) and at last... my heaven (aside from the breakfast buffet)... Magma Heritage... I could've shed a tear right there but we were greeted by the (in)famous Madison Chua and were lead to display after display of Pullips... the Rozen Maiden collection... the Minis... the Dals.... the Taeyangs.... The J-dolls... I wanted to faint but, well, Madison might go crazy and kick me out... so I carefully took in each and every doll's face and wished, wished, wished I bought more money with me! Waaah! In the end I decided on a Dal Frara (my first Dal!) and got my new girl a complete set of loose Hangry outfit. :) So so so so happy! :D

***
To note: Yes, Madison was completely nice to me. I don't know if it was a good day for him or if he is just misunderstood by his clients online, but there were no tantrums as mentioned in the forums and there were absolutely no random crazies being thrown my way.
***

Anyway, we took the bus back to the hotel so I can take a look around the city... with my doll securely on my lap, of course, and we met with the others there. We took a short break (I o) and were off to check out the shops around Orchard Road. We first went to the so-called "Pinoy Place", Lucky Plaza, and yes.. lots of Filipinos there! :) (and you know, it feels really nice to hear Tagalog and Bisaya after 2 days of English in different accents). I continued buying some more souvenirs to bring back home (down on my last buck too... decided to just shop like crazy when I get back to Cebu... everything in Sg are so darned expensive!) During dinner I got to taste Laksa and Hainanese chicken rice. I love laksa the mostest! It's like a spicy coconut soup with curry and prawns and tofu (it's like a sponge that whenever you chomp on one the yummy spicy soup just comes out) and it's the yummiest ever!!! I want the recipe! *cries*

We also got to go inside The Paragon, which is like for everything high-end like Gucci, Fendi, A/X, etc. (*cough* too rich for my taste... but the nice thing is the place is accessible for everyone and anyone can go inside and check stuff out and no one looks down on you, unlike the snooty shops here in our country).

So that was our 2nd day in Singapore. We had to end out suroy-suroy early because we had to pack our stuff for our flight the next day (the bus will pick us up at 6:30am for Changi Airport).

Uncle Dodong and Auntie Lolit came to see us off at Changi at around 7:30 am (they also had a friend that's going somewhere too, at some other terminal). Boarding is at 9-something so we said our goodbyes and got in the plane...

*sigh* Adios Singapura! I'll see you soon! (I hope)...

Aaand... 3 hours and 20 minutes later, we've landed in Cebu (*cough* the flight meal for breakfast was nice too :P *cough*)... And as much as I feel sad about leaving Singapore, I am very truly happy to be back in the Phils! xD While I'm not too hot with the dirtiness and total lack of convenience in everything around here, I loooove our humor and, well, cheap prices. :P

As promised, the next day I shopped like crazy for my family at SM (Yay to the new NorthWing! It looks so cool and I love the new shops and restos!). I also met up with Anton for lunch (we roamed around for a bit but he had to go to work)... and Wilson is totally going to kill me for not asking him out too (sorry dude, limited time and I though you're still working on that call center place!)

And on the 12th, we went back to Mactan Airport for our flight to Butuan at 6-something AM... and like a snap... Hello BXU Airport! (It's very rustic... as if you're expecting a chicken to pass by...) but it's home and I love it! ^__^ I was met by my mom and dad and Yahoobear (it was his birthday... I got pressies!) and we four went home at Doongan Road. xD

Yay!!! LONG POST!!! *applause*
Really, guys, I need to go to bed already. xD

I attended a judges' luncheon today at the Water District today to discuss... judgey things... :P I was totally out of my league 'cause everyone's super artsy and stuff... I never really said much in there, but they did choose the theme I suggested for this year's contest! ^_^

Right... so I just turned 23 ...
How do I feel, exactly? Well... the same way I felt when I turned 18, so... nothing really significant. :P Age is really not something I feel obsessed about (until you comment on how I look... I don't mind if it's about how I act 'cause I already know I don't really go anywhere beyond a 5-year-old's behavior)

But for starters, I want to thank those who greeted me a Happy Birthday yesterday... It felt very spiffy that y'all remembered that I'm still alive for another year (that may or may NOT be a good thing for y'all, but it's nice that you gave greetings anyway). ;)

So? What happened on my birthday?
Hmmm...

Well, first I woke up around 7:00 am 'cause my Mom, Dad, and cousins (temporary borders Ela and Pao) sang Happy Birthday to me beside my bed... It was really sweet so I held off plans to incinerate anyone going near me to wake me up from 5am to 12 noon. Anyway Ela and Pao decided to sleep next to me while my parents went to work (Ela and Dan were sleeping on my parents' room the night before). So, yeah, went back to bed with the kids (I keep getting Pao's hand on my face! And believe me... his limbs aren't the lightest things!) :P

Woke up at noon to get lunch, carried on my work of uploading pictures and videos from the Singapore trip I started on last night, went to church at 5pm, returned home to change, and then my relatives arrived. Suzette also arrived a little later and so did Eubel and Floyd. ^_^

And, well, I guess the evening hasn't started until my lolo, lola & co. left later on and the guys took center stage... they're hilarious, dude! xD You just have to admire how any situation can get randomly silly with the things they say/do. LOL. I mean I usually appear uptight and KJ, but I do appreciate it when people are comfortable enough to be themselves when around me. :P Thanks guys!

Actualilly I wanted to blog in detail... but really, there's no way in retelling just how fun the night went. I guess I'll just post these .gif images of compiled continuous shots of the guys.

Click links! (wait for them to load :P)

Right... so I've packed already and ready to go to Cebu (flight is at 5:00am tomorrow).
Hmm...

I think there'd be a computer at our hotel room in Sg so I might update this blog while I'm there. If not, well, I guess there's be a pretty long entry next week!

Bye y'all! Wish me a nice trip! :)

-SO-

It's Saturday night and I just went to the movies with Suzette, Europe, and Floyd (how do I spell his name?) Anyways it was fun as always. xD I actually went to Gaisano (yes, that's the only mall we have... got a problem with that, punk?! *defensive*) *ahem* I went to Gaisano at 5:30pm to buy some stuff for my trip to Sg (you know, essentials like lotion and deo and wet tissues and stuff in mini travel-size form so I won't have to gamble on what they give me at the hotel). I had dinner at Jollibee (I love their foodies... *sigh*) and Suzette arrived around 7-ish and sat with me for a while to talk about her SA problem (which I think is actually NOT Suzette's problem anymore and the girl in question should really just rethink how she deals with her shit). And the guys (Europe and Floyd/spelling-to-be-determined) came a few minutes after Suzette and we went upstairs to buy us tickets.

We saw Cloverfield.. which was great as I expected! I dunno, I was psyched about this movie since I saw the trailer and it really delivered... I love how the whole effect of the entire movie being shot by a handycam 'cause it made the situation more believable... and you can just imagine yourself in the characters' shoes as they try dealing with the fear, panic, and confusion of seeing your city being attacked.

Note: There's more to the movie than meets the eye. If you want to read about how the production team marketed the movie, click HERE. (Viral videos? Fake news clips? Conspiracy theories about how the monster came to be? For the Cloverfield movie team to attempt to take this stuff one step further is amazing! You know it's not true.. but it'll make you ask "what if?"... And yes, people in YouTube are talking about this movie and piecing together the clues from the trailer and movie to see what's really going on.) *CLAP CLAP*

I think I was the only one who really liked the movie, tho... Suzette felt sick trying to watch the whole thing through in the eyes of the person who carried the camera ('cause it was really about running, thrashing about, sometimes the scenes aren't focused or steady so it's kinda hard on the eyes).... and YES, a small percentage of Cloverfield moviegoers have suffered motion sickness while watching. And another YES: you CAN suffer motion sickness even without moving (it's how your mind perceives stuff). My eyes felt strained myself from the shaking but it didn't bother me too much (I guess that's what watching home videos from relatives abroad can do to you... PEACE! :P) -- Suzette, if you're reading this, I'm really sorry you had to watch the movie 'cause I wanted to see it... it could've been Vantage Point... Sorry nang... have a blueberry vodka drink! xD

So anyway we had to stop by Aling Cora's for a while so the guys can get some grub (poor things didn't get to eat dinner before watching the movie). I busied myself reading Suzette's chat dialogue (she printed it!) with Tina (lovelife :P). And a short while later we went to buy some drinks and random foodies and went to The Bridge (I have NO IDEA what the bridge is actually called, so I'm calling it The Bridge 'cause that's how everyone calls it these days and there's no other bridge that people go to hang out anyway).

I've been there before but not actually in a situation where I stayed put and talk and consume random foodstuffs :P (Imagine a bridge where people sit around, drink, bring some fastfood, date, talk, maybe even dance around in a drunken stupor... these all go about along the sides of the bridge... so yeah.. I find the whole setting very interesting). :P

Anyway there was talking and stuff, fun fun all around, and nobody from my group fell off the bridge ('cause my brain just shut itself down after 9pm and anything that happens later is just a blurry haze of random musings and thinking up ridiculous situations... hence bridge-falling). But after a few topics that I couldn't really relate to (Suzette and the guys' high school memories... mostly the guys goofing around), as usual I've zoned out observing the other people nearby and what they're doing, etc. --- which does not mean to say Suzette's high school antics weren't interesting (I did slip in and out of the conversation, occasionally asking stuff to clarify and to better imagine scenarios), but yeah. ;)

Aaaand... then we went home. :P
Or, well, my mom SMS'd me that I would just need to call home so someone can open the gate for me and I think it was Europe's mom who called him about church tomorrow? (Not sure about the details about that one). But true, we needed to go churching the next day, so...

Home.
And me blogging...

And look! Pictures! (haha, this is at that bridge-place)
